Carbon Black


Carbon black is a form of carbon that has a high surface-area-to-volume ratio. It is mainly used as a reinforcing filler in tires and other rubber products. 

Global demand for carbon black in 2016 was 13.2 million tons (expected to grow 5.6% per year). 

Applications of carbon black


1. Reinforcer in tires (80% of the capacity)

2. Filler in rubber products (hoses, flooring, etc.)

3. Pigment in inks and plastic products




Oils


The oils produced through this process can be sold for heating or as a blending oil with recyclers.
